Information for Pumpkin Chuckin' entrants
Official Rules for Chuckers:
- Machines must run with human and/or kinetic powered energy,
which may include: springs, bicycles, rubber bands, air, muscle, etc.

Machines that are run on explosives, open flames or external water propulsion are not eligible.

Machines cannot use vehicles as a counter weight.
All launch machines must stand alone.
Weights, stakes and braces are allowed and encouraged to immobilize machines for safety.

Any pumpkins brought for practice or competition launches must be inspected.
Pumpkins must not undergo any alterations, including: air ducts, wings, fins, or any type of lubrication.
We will have 5 - 6 lb. pumpkins available if you do not bring your own.

Machines must not pose any obvious safety risks,
and may be disqualified at any time during the contest if deemed as such a risk.

Machine set-up and inspection:
Saturday, October 17 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
Set up on the field can begin as early as 9:00 a.m. Please see pumpkin chuckin' officials to direct you to your set-up location.
Inspections will begin at 10:00 a.m. All machines must be ready for a test throw at 11:30.
*If the launching machine and/or pumpkins do not pass safety inspection, the pumpkins and/or machines will be disqualified.
